An introduction

In 2018, I'm going to be using this blog to review some of the books that I read. My overall goal for the year is to read 70 books, and each month I am going to choose one book to review. I will post it on the last Friday of the month, at least that's the plan for now. I read a significant amount of YA fiction, and if there's ever a book you'd like to hear me talk about, recommend it! I love reading books from other people's lists. I know most of you reading this are going to be my friends and family, so please don't hesitate to throw a title at me.
I don't have a set format yet, a concrete plan for how I will talk about the books I read, but hopefully it will flesh itself out into something worth reading. I do know that I will employ the same grading scale as Goodreads, a 1-5 star scale.
1 star: I didn't like it.
2 stars: It was ok.
3 stars: I liked it.
4 stars: I really liked it.
5 stars: It was amazing!

Already on my Goodreads account, my neutral tends to hang towards 3 stars. I read it, I enjoyed it, but it didn't wow me or disgust me, lol. As I figure more out about this whole reviewing process, I'll delve into why I gave the book the rating I did.

Please feel free to leave constructive criticism, as I have never written book reviews before haha and supportive comments because I'm human and a little love goes a long way lol

Hopefully you'll enjoy my monthly reviews. I aim to be objective but colorful and interesting.
Thanks for reading!
